This is a report
about Khalfan Al Muhairi. His Id number: H00255135. It was in C001 room on the
ground floor of the college, on June 4, 2013 at 11:00 am. Khalfan started the
presentation by introducing himself. Then he introduced his Topic which was about
the Apple Company. He was looked confident without any stress with good
eye contact and his subject attracted
the attentions because it was interesting. He stood to the side of the screen
not in front of the screen and that is clearer for the audience. Khalfan never
used any note cards and he just read a little bit from the screen. He was
speaking in a clear and loud voice for everyone without any tension and he had
very good English language. Also he used his hand gesture. The presentation was organized and it was
interesting with some pictures about Steve and the company. Also he picked a
picture for the Company when Steve Jobs died and that’s the most exciting point
in the presentation. He was smiling and looking confident. In my opinion
Khalfan chose an appropriate subject because many of us don’t know too much
about Apple Company and Steve Jobs.

Tarek Al Junaibi, his ID: H00247490.He started his presentation in room C001 on
the ground floor of the college at 8:30 am on May 13, 2013.This was the second
presentation for Abdullah and he did better than the first one. Abdullah started
his presentation by introducing himself, and then he introduced the topic which
is “The Video Games” in a very good way. He was fluent with his language and he
has clear English with new words. He looked at the audience nicely. He stood at
the side of the screen to give us nice presenting, and he used his hand
gestures .He used note cards to remember the topics. Abdullah was not reading
from the screen; just he was looking to the notes to not forget the information.
He speaks in a clear and loud voice without any stress and tension, not like
his first presentation which was not good .In this presentation he was based on
photos and his own information about the video games without texts. The first
presentation was not organized but this one seems organized as a whole. He was smiling and looked confident. He gave
us a lot of information about these video games and a history of these games.

Reflection
Reflection
It was a great meeting with my group; we were
4 students. The chairman was Ahmed Suroor. The secretary was Mohammed Ahmed;
Ahmed Abdulkareem and Essa Tayeb were the participants. We talked about an
important issue which was the parking problem in the college. I learned many
things from this meeting; Ahmed started the meeting in a positive way; after
that, I and Ahmed Abdulkareem talked about some solutions for the problem. We
discussed all the stuff with Mister Headley and he participated with us. I gave
so many ideas to the meeting and the chairman liked my ideas. We went through
the agenda briefly and discussed all the solutions .We had some many great
solutions about the parking issues, where everyone in the group participated
and gave their opinions. In addition to that we argued about each other’s
solutions to choose the best solution to solve this issue. The chairman was
impressed with our solution and how creative we were to figure out the problems.
In the end the chairman welcomed and thanked us for our participation and our
time, and we look forward to solve this problem if they give us the chance to
work on the issue.

Traffic and
parking issues at the college
Problems:
Insufficient

Many
oversized humps causing congestion
No shade for
the cars
Solutions:
Wider

Minutes:
Insufficient
parking spaces
Ahmed Suroor
talked about the problems and solutions (he thinks that making wider spaces for
the parking can help students come to the class early. Mohammed Ahmed said they
have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of student’s comesto
the college with ahuge cars, like GMC trucks, and these cars take a big
space.
Illegal
parking positions
Ahmed Suroor
said the consequences should be taken to people who park illegally, like
tickets and warnings. Eissa Tayib said
we should have better security and better consequences.
Not enough
space to park
Ahmed Suroor
said we should remove some green areas to make wider parking spaces so more
parking can be placed. Mohammed
Ahmed said they have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of students come to the
college with huge cars and this car takes a big space.
Very high
pavements
Ahmed Suroor
said the pavements are very high and they take a lot of space causing fewer
parking spaces. Eissa Tayib said they should be removed and barriers should be
placed to take less space.
Many
oversized humps causing congestion
Ahmed Suroor
said the humps are very unnecessary and oversized because it takes time going
over them and some cars cannot go over them. Ahmed Abdulkareem said the humps
cause the cars to flow slowly causing congestion.
No shade for
the cars
Ahmed Abdulkareem
said that shade for the cars is critical; because of the heat cars might break
down and may get too hot to drive. Ahmed Suroor agreed and thinks the shade
would be better for heat problems in the car.
Making
better parking spaces would help in the studies of the students causing them to
arrive to class on time; entering and exiting the parking would be easier and
illegal parking would be banned and consequences will be provided; the humps
would be reduced causing easier flow and better parking abilities.
In conclusion,
we discussed with mister Headly an important issue it was parking’s in the
college, after that we talked about the causes of the main problem and we put
some solutions.
-we need
wider parking
-its good if
the college put for us shade for the cars
- The
pavements are highs, we need a lower one
- The high
humps is the most important problem for the college students

Job interview
Saeed Abdullah Alkethere H00232957 was interviewed by Ghanem
Alhassani H00237051 and Hamed Alkhori H00251328 in class C001 of Higher
Technology College on 3/3/2013 at 11:00 am. Saeed Alkethere was working in
Mubadalah in accounting section and he had a lots of experience works as a volunteer,
he’s 20 years old and he took a bachelor degree from Zayed University.
Saeed had started in a good way and he answered the
question without any difficulties. He was wearing traditional kandora which is
appropriate for the interview. His body language was good; He made eye contact
and hand gestures. He had good English and excellent grammar and good poise.
I think saeed was well prepared in the interview because he seemed
self-confidant and he knows what he talks about.
The most difficult question Saeed faced in interview is “can
you work under the pressure?” when Gahnem asked Saeed: can you work under
pressure. Saeed answered: no I can’t because I would like to work without any pressure.
The easiest question to him was “what is your outside interest?” .Saeed answered:
many interesting things I can do outside for example: jogging, playing
football and watching movie in the cinema. This shows that Saeed really wants to
work in this company.
At the end he was not bad in the interview and he did answer
the questions. I think he would get the job because he had the abilities that
they want in this company.
