Reflection

It was a great meeting with my group; we were 4 students. The chairman was Ahmed Suroor. The secretary was Mohammed Ahmed; Ahmed Abdulkareem and Essa Tayeb were the participants. We talked about an important issue which was the parking problem in the college. I learned many things from this meeting; Ahmed started the meeting in a positive way; after that, I and Ahmed Abdulkareem talked about some solutions for the problem. We discussed all the stuff with Mister Headley and he participated with us. I gave so many ideas to the meeting and the chairman liked my ideas. We went through the agenda briefly and discussed all the solutions .We had some many great solutions about the parking issues, where everyone in the group participated and gave their opinions. In addition to that we argued about each other’s solutions to choose the best solution to solve this issue. The chairman was impressed with our solution and how creative we were to figure out the problems. In the end the chairman welcomed and thanked us for our participation and our time, and we look forward to solve this problem if they give us the chance to work on the issue.

Minutes:

Insufficient parking spaces

Ahmed Suroor talked about the problems and solutions (he thinks that making wider spaces for the parking can help students come to the class early. Mohammed Ahmed said they have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of student’s comesto the college with ahuge cars, like GMC trucks, and these cars take a big space.

Illegal parking positions

Ahmed Suroor said the consequences should be taken to people who park illegally, like tickets and warnings.  Eissa Tayib said we should have better security and better consequences.

Not enough space to park

Ahmed Suroor said we should remove some green areas to make wider parking spaces so more parking can be placed. Mohammed Ahmed said they have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of students come to the college with huge cars and this car takes a big space.

Very high pavements

Ahmed Suroor said the pavements are very high and they take a lot of space causing fewer parking spaces. Eissa Tayib said they should be removed and barriers should be placed to take less space.

Many oversized humps causing congestion

Ahmed Suroor said the humps are very unnecessary and oversized because it takes time going over them and some cars cannot go over them. Ahmed Abdulkareem said the humps cause the cars to flow slowly causing congestion.

No shade for the cars

Ahmed Abdulkareem said that shade for the cars is critical; because of the heat cars might break down and may get too hot to drive. Ahmed Suroor agreed and thinks the shade would be better for heat problems in the car.

Making better parking spaces would help in the studies of the students causing them to arrive to class on time; entering and exiting the parking would be easier and illegal parking would be banned and consequences will be provided; the humps would be reduced causing easier flow and better parking abilities.

In conclusion, we discussed with mister Headly an important issue it was parking’s in the college, after that we talked about the causes of the main problem and we put some solutions.

-we need wider parking

-its good if the college put for us shade for the cars

- The pavements are highs, we need a lower one

- The high humps is the most important problem for the college students

Job interview

Saeed Abdullah Alkethere H00232957 was interviewed by Ghanem Alhassani H00237051 and Hamed Alkhori H00251328 in class C001 of Higher Technology College on 3/3/2013 at 11:00 am. Saeed Alkethere was working in Mubadalah in accounting section and he had a lots of experience works as a volunteer, he’s 20 years old and he took a bachelor degree from Zayed University.

Saeed had started in a good way and he answered the question without any difficulties. He was wearing traditional kandora which is appropriate for the interview. His body language was good; He made eye contact and hand gestures. He had good English and excellent grammar and good poise. I think saeed was well prepared in the interview because he seemed self-confidant and he knows what he talks about.

The most difficult question Saeed faced in interview is “can you work under the pressure?” when Gahnem asked Saeed: can you work under pressure. Saeed answered: no I can’t because I would like to work without any pressure. The easiest question to him was “what is your outside interest?” .Saeed answered: many interesting things I can do outside for example: jogging, playing football and watching movie in the cinema. This shows that Saeed really wants to work in this company.

At the end he was not bad in the interview and he did answer the questions. I think he would get the job because he had the abilities that they want in this company.
